hike to the top nine - Dolomites
autumn hike to the top nine in the Dolomites / South Tyrol.
altitude: 1500 m
Duration: Total about 41 / 2 hours
Valley Town: Wengen Alta Badia
goes from the last hamlet in Wengen Alta Badia it on the way to No. 13 direction Antoniusjoch . At the beginning of wide forest, it is always further into the Fanestal (Val de Fanes). On this perfect sunny day in September, I'm completely alone out on Dolomites. On and on the trail up towards end of the valley, where the waiting Antoniusjoch (also Fanesjoch). Apparently, this narrow road is also used by the cows as a transition as a transition into Fanesgebiet. there are plenty of tracks, anyway.
know Antoniusjoch arrived on a plate initially clear the path towards nine points (on the other hand, it goes to Antoniuspitze , 2655m, including Monte Sella di Fanes). Irge Blogger: Mountaineering in the Alps - Create Post ndwie I lose the "right" way and must take a position on the broad back of the ridge climb. There cairns have again the correct path to the summit. Before that, one must still cope with a short assured place to go to the last boom. After about 1 hour it is done and you stand at the summit of Nine peak (2968m) in the Dolomites .
From here the view to Peitlerkofel , Kronplatz , Piz da Peres and the Puezspitze .
On the descent I find myself always on the ridge and walk down towards the pathless Fanes until I was on the wide forest road No. 7 to the valley meet. From here it's still about an hour to the parking lot at Rifugio Pederü .

On Friday 12/09/2008 Rieglerbuam see the clock at 20.30 in the Cultural Centre "Luis Trenker" in Ortisei (Val Gardena) a Multivisionsshow . On display are images of
climbing trips the brothers Riegler to Thailand, Australia, India and several countries in Europe.
, many of them first ascents and repeats of difficult climbing routes up to 10 Difficulty . Particularly spectacular are the photographic impressions of the ascent of "Illuminati", the most difficult waterfall in Europe.
tell the second part of the show, the two young South Tyrolean mountaineers from her in July last undertaken expedition to Pakistan in one of the most remote and largely untapped areas of the Karakorum .
The whole is part of the "Alpine Week" in Gardena instead.
